Tokyo Docs 2017

Tokyo Docs is Japan’s premier international documentary pitching forum.

We provide filmmakers from Japan and other parts of Asia with opportunities to pitch and develop international co-productions.
This event is organized by an independent organization and supported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Japan Foundation, NHK and several other public organizations.

20 projects will be pitched to overseas and Japanese decision makers.
15 projects are by Japanese filmmakers and 5 are by Asian filmmakers.
Tokyo Docs will also feature workshops, training sessions and screenings.

Guests in 2016: BBC, DR, VPRO, PBS International, SW4, Autentic, Point du Jour, Gedeon, Discovery Asia, SBS (South Korea), PTS (Taiwan), LIC (China), Media Corp (Singapore), Astro (Malaysia), HotDocs, DocEdge Calcutta, Docs Port Incheon, etc.

Tokyo Docs will hold networking events to connect Asian and Japanese filmmakers.
Around 30 Asian filmmakers will be invited.
